Well, towards the end of forwarding my burgeoning R/C hobby, and finding things to do on flat and windy days besides sitting in front of the computer, I went ahead and picked up a [url=http://www.flyweasel.com/specifications.html]Weasel kit[/url] from a local Santa Barbara kit manufacturer, [url=http://www.flyweasel.com/]Richter R/C Designs[/url].
I’m still totally blown away that an aircraft can be built from what is essentially packing material–specifically, EPP (Expanded PolyPropelene) foam and colored tape. I’m waiting on a last piece of radio equipment before I can complete it, but I expect to be flying it by the end of the coming week. Full report to follow!
