This is my most exciting post in recent memory. I’m getting a new surfboard from Tyler Hatzikian. It’s his new-ish 11′ glider model, named the Super Chief.
I’ve wanted a board like this for years, and when I found out he had this model waiting in the wings, I was ecstatic. I’ve ridden various editions of his Noserider model since the mid 90s (my oldest is serial number Z-6) and have enjoyed every single one. I’ve also got a custom 10′ Pipeliner -inspired board for bigger surf. This Super Chief is going to be an amazing addition to the quiver. I take delivery next week and will be posting all about my impressions of the board.
